Submission Call
Black Noise Quarterly invites both fiction and nonfiction submissions for publication in its magazine. The inaugural issue (Spring 2018) has a final submission date of February 1st, 2018.

FICTION
Novella/Novelette: (>8000 words) Send no more than TWO novellas/novelettes per submission. All genres welcome.
Short Story: (between 1500-8000 words) Send no more than THREE short stories per submission. All genres welcome.
Flash Fiction: (between 50-1500 words) Send no more than FIVE flash fictions per submission. All genres welcome.
Poetry: (No word count specifications) Send no more than FIVE poems per submission. All genres welcome.
Drama: (No word count specifications) Send no more than THREE dramas per submission. All genres welcome.
NON-FICTION
There is no word count specification for Non fiction pieces. All submissions must be connected to some aspect of Art, Literature or Culture.

2) Opinion pieces
3) Interviews
4) Essays
5) Criticisms
6) Treatises on Spirituality
7) Analysis of Cinema/Theatre/Book/TV Show

We also accept and publish original PAINTINGS and PHOTOGRAPHS.

Simultaneous Submissions are welcome but the author must inform us by e-mail as soon as the submitted piece is accepted elsewhere. Pieces cannot be withdrawn once Black Noise Quarterly informs the author of its acceptance for publication.

At present, we are unable to pay our contributors. However. each contributor shall receive a complimentary digital copy of the magazine as soon as it publishes.

Please submit your files in the following formats: .doc /.docx /.txt. DO NOT submit PDFs. Paintings and photographs can be sent in .jpeg /.png /.tiff formats. During initial submissions, image files must be sent in low resolution. We shall ask for high resolution files when/if your submission is accepted for publication.
Black Noise Quarterly uses non-exclusive rights to publish in its magazine/anthologies and website. Authors are free to republish their work anywhere else once it has been published by Black Noise Quarterly.
Please submit only original pieces. Black Noise Quarterly shall not be responsible for any disputes arising out of copyright infringement.

Each piece may be attached with a short bio and photograph of the author.

NOTE: We typically reply within a month after receiving submissions. However, replies can be delayed under unforeseen circumstances.
